How about we say, thank you weather?

Glasgow weather is bipolar; sunny one minute, and the next it is snowing! (Glasgow Scotland, UK).

I have been thinking lately, about you weather. You seems… so indecisive, so sudden, you make me think what exactly is wrong with you, but how funny is it that you also make me feel so thankful. There is a saying that goes “you only miss the sun when it starts to snow”…so I thought to myself why not appreciate and enjoy every moment of this weather, but yet I still get a bit frustrated about how aggressive you can be, so windy, so powerful, sometimes sunny, maybe warm enough to feel you on my skin. Although mostly rainy and wet, you tried sweeping me off my feet as I tried not to slip in my slippery sneakers.

But again, that voice of thankfulness, I find myself appreciating you weather. But how? you ask. Think about the rain, about the sun, think about that wind and the rain, together; as you struggle to hold the umbrella up….urg! Thankful? Yes, thankful. Thankful for that SHOE although they are not the best, thankful for that JACKET although you want another one, thankful for that UMBRELLA, some have none, thankful for that HAND GLOVES, although they are not leather, thankful for safety, atleast I have not break a bone walking through this weather everyday.

Why am I thankful, I asked myself. You know, some country are praying for rain, for the greens to grow, some pray for a bit of breeze or maybe the cold, because some days the sun becomes unbearable, so much that it burns. I am not too sure if anyone prays for the wind, but the idea is that I will not let this weather get to me, rather I will appreciate every moment of it and find every reason to be thankful because I have the essentials to live through it. Life is all about being thankful. Thank you weather, for feeding the plants with the sun, for giving the leaves on the trees another chance to spring even though you made them fall in the winter. Nothing will ever be perfect, because if it was, how many times will you have paused to appreciate the little things? So, weather, I say thank you for making me appreciate life a lot more.
